What is InstaWP Studio?

Describe your business and get a complete WordPress site built on native blocks, yours to keep, edit in chat or in WordPress, and publish when ready.

Updated

InstaWP Studio is an AI studio for real WordPress. You describe a business in a sentence or a page of notes, and the assistant designs and builds a complete WordPress site: a homepage, further pages, a blog, menus, images, and a header and footer that follow one set of colours and fonts. You then change anything by asking in chat, by pointing at it on the page, or in the WordPress editor.

A real WordPress site #

Everything the assistant builds is ordinary WordPress:

  • Pages and posts are WordPress pages and posts, made of the standard blocks the block editor understands.
  • Colours and fonts are the site's own theme settings (Global Styles), so anything you write in WordPress later picks them up.
  • The header and footer are the theme's template parts, shared by every page.
  • Images are in the Media Library, ready to reuse.
  • Menus, settings and plugins are the usual WordPress ones. Ask for a plugin, a shop or a settings change and the assistant does it the WordPress way, then shows what changed.

There is no separate copy of the site to keep in sync and nothing that only works inside InstaWP Studio. Publish it to InstaWP and it is a normal WordPress install you can back up, move and keep running like any other.

Where your draft lives #

While you build, WordPress runs inside your browser. The draft is saved there, survives refreshes and normal closes, and stays private until you share or publish it. Each browser keeps its own sites; sign in to see the same list of sites on every device.

Quality that is built in #

Every page the assistant saves is checked at phone, tablet and desktop widths before it is called done: nothing overflows, text is readable, contrast meets accessibility guidelines, and the navigation works. Page titles, descriptions, social sharing cards and the usual accessibility basics come with every page. A design that would ship slow or broken is scaled back first; within that floor, the assistant keeps its design freedom, so sites do not look templated.

Three ways to change things #

HowBest for
ChatAnything you can say in words: new pages, new sections, a different tone, new colours, a shop, a plugin. See Edit in chat.
Click to editA specific spot on the page: "make this headline shorter", "swap this photo", "tighten the spacing here". See Click to edit.
WordPress editorRetyping text yourself, adding posts, managing media and settings. See Edit in WordPress.

Ways to start #

  • Describe your business on the New site screen and pick one of three starting looks. See Build your first site.
  • Start from a template in the gallery and make it yours in chat. See Templates and looks.
  • Bring your current website over: paste its address and InstaWP Studio copies it into WordPress as it is. See Import your website.
  • Open a link that already names a description, plugins, themes or a blueprint. See Start a site from a link.

What it costs #

Building uses credits. Every visitor gets free credits to try InstaWP Studio without an account; signing in adds more, and each site you host on InstaWP adds credits every month. A new homepage is usually around 10 credits and a small change under 1. See Credits.
