Start from one of three looks pitched for your business, or from a ready-made template that is rewritten for you. Nudge a look calmer or wilder before anything is built.

Three looks, pitched for you #

After you describe your site, InstaWP Studio sketches three starting looks on the Pick a look screen. They are not a fixed menu: each is pitched to what suits your business, so a law firm and a tattoo studio get different spreads. One is on brief, one a notch calmer, one a notch wilder. A description with a strong direction of its own gets three variations within it.

  • Calmer and Wilder on any look nudge it one step either way.
  • The sketches use real photos, and the photos of the look you choose are reused in the build, so what you pick is what you get.
  • Sketching three ideas uses less than one credit. Nothing else is spent until you press Start designing.

You can change direction later in chat at any time: "make the whole site calmer", "bolder type", "a warmer palette".

Ready-made templates #

The template gallery holds complete sites, designed and checked, that you can take as they are or have rewritten for your business.

  • Where: Or start from a ready-made template under the description box on New site, and the Ready-made sites tab on Pick a look, beside Build with AI.
  • Matching: when you have typed a description, the tab shows how many templates fit it and offers up to three, each card naming the words it matched.
  • Browse: the gallery has a search box over names, descriptions and tags. Hover a tile to scroll through its page. Preview opens the template's own pages at desktop or phone width; links, tabs and menus work there, forms show but do not send. The preview address can be shared or bookmarked.

Use a template #

  • Use this template (with nothing typed) creates a new site from the template as it is. Nothing is spent, and the chat says "Started from the … template".
  • Use and make it mine (with a description typed) creates the site and then runs one edit that rewrites the business name, tagline, copy, menu labels and photos for your business on every page. Sections, layout, colours and typography stay. Facts that belonged to the template, such as prices, addresses and opening hours, become general wording for you to fill in. Undo restores the untouched template.

From there a template site is like any other: edit in chat, Click to edit, the WordPress editor, Undo. A site made from a template does not change when the template is later updated.
