Where pictures come from #

InstaWP Studio places pictures as it designs. Depending on how your InstaWP Studio is set up, they are either AI images, generated to match one image style declared for your site, or stock photos from Pexels or Unsplash with a small credit caption under each. Stock mode never falls back to paid AI images on its own. If an AI image cannot be made, the page gets a matching stock photo instead of an empty space, and the reply says so.

AI images are saved into the WordPress Media Library, ready to reuse anywhere.

Swap a picture #

  • In chat: "Change the hero photo to a sunlit kitchen", "new photos for the team section". One picture or many can be swapped without touching the rest of the section.
  • Click to edit: click an image and use Swap photo or Fix the crop, or say what you want in the box. See Click to edit.
  • All of them: "Change all the images" swaps every picture on the site in one go, most visible first.

A search that finds nothing keeps the current picture and says so. Pictures that belong to a plugin's block are changed in the WordPress editor; the assistant tells you when that is the case.

  • Attach an image to a chat message or to the Click to edit box and say where it goes: "use this as the hero photo", "replace this picture with the attached one". It is placed as it is, not recreated.
  • Your logo: attach it in chat and ask for it in the header, and it appears there.
  • Alt text: an image you attach is described for screen readers when it is placed. "Add alt text to my images" fills in any that are missing across the site, in the Media Library and on the pages; alt text you wrote yourself is kept.
  • Uploading in the Media Library works too, like any WordPress site.

Image style #

AI images follow one style for the whole site so they look like they belong together. Ask for a different one: "make the photography moodier", "illustrations instead of photos".

The image budget #

A single request makes up to 12 new pictures. A request to replace every picture gets one per existing photo, up to 40. If a page wants more than the budget, the extra spots are labelled placeholders and the reply offers to fill them as a separate step.

Each site has 500 MB for media in the browser draft, with a warning at 400 MB. Text edits still save when it is full. Hover the save status in the top bar to see the site's usage; Site details shows its size.
